Methodology
Programs at The University of Hong Kong whose name or faculty matches the Media rules.Programs whose name mentions journalism, media, communication, advertising or public relations. Telecommunications and communications engineering, the communication strands of translation and linguistics programs, business communication, multimedia entertainment or computing, and film-only programs are left out.
Programs are classified by their English and Chinese names and their faculty, using a fixed keyword table. Interdisciplinary programs (accounting and finance, an MBA in finance) appear on both subject pages; programs we are unsure about are not classified and remain in the full library.
